Google faces off with Groupon with Google Offers

Google’s much-publicized jilting by Groupon over a $6 billion buyout offer might have ticked the search giant off. Mashable reports that Google will take its own swings at the online discount market. 2 suns aren't likely for the Earth in 2012

The 2012 doomsday rumor mill now has a new entry, in that the Earth will supposedly have 2 suns in 2012. Betelgeuse, a large star over 600 light years away, is starting to die out and will supernova when it does. The light show will most likely be unimpressive, and the Earth is well out of the line of fire.

The Daily Mail explains that there’s a rumor that there will be two suns the Earth can have causing 24 hrs of daylight for 2 weeks. Signs of a supernova are being seen by a star in the Orion constellation. Betelgeuse is the star that is one of the brightest in the night sky and is a red supergiant. University of Southern Queensland's Australian astrophysicist Brad Carter explained that 2012 would probably be when this star turns into a supernova.

If our sun were swapped out with Betelgeuse, it would take up so much room that Jupiter would be close to its surface. Similar stars have too much mass and energy to simply blink out of existence and typically become supernova. There will be a perpetual state of collapse with a supernova that collapses on itself with its core. This turns it into a black hole with all that gravity involved. However, because Betelgeuse is about 600 light years away, in accordance with CBS, there is minimal chance much of its light could be seen from Earth when it goes supernova.

How this entails 2012

Most are worried about 2012 since the Mayan Calendar ends that year. It is not something Mayan scholars are worried about. There are many reasons why it could have ended. Conspiracy theorists are likely to have to discover another explanation for 2012. Betelgeuse won't do anything to Planet Earth being 600 light years away.

Pastor Fred Phelps claims gunman Loughner is a hero

Controversial pastor Fred Phelps with the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church has spoken out concerning the terrible shootings in Tucson, Ariz., reports The Stir. Regrettably, Phelps’ position is the victims deserved to be gunned down by "soldier hero" Jared Lee Loughner. That involves a 9-year-old girl who was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time. Republicans revel in reading of U.S. Constitution text

The U.S. Constitution text was read within the House of Representatives Thurs. as Republicans kicked off the 112th Congress with blatant Tea Party pandering. The event achieved nothing tangible and gave politicians a chance to preen before the media. Republicans ruffled feathers by deciding to omit uncomfortable parts of the United States Constitution text and a woman was ejected for insulting the president. The reading of the U.S. Constitution text in the House was a Republican gesture to Tea Party activists who handed the party the majority in the 2010 election. Three-Fifths Clause doesn’t make the cut

Fighting started immediately. The U.S. Constitution wasn't even being read yet. Republicans insisted on deleting sections of the Constitution supplanted by amendments. One of those sections included the “Three-Fifths Clause.” In this example, slaves weren't treated fairly. They were to count as "three fifths of all other persons" in there. Rep. Jesse Jackson, D-Ill, said “Many of us don’t want that to be lost upon reading of our sacred document.” Amendments can pass anything to change the Constitution such as the Three Fifths Clause change. This should remind all that the nation and Constitution change together.

When the U.S. Constitution was read aloud, the Republicans and Democrats were both okay with it. For the 112th Congress, that will probably be the only time that happens. Then, things went wrong while Frank Pallone, D-N.J., was reading. The part that requires a president to be a "natural born citizen" was read. A woman in the audience felt she should comment. She said, “Except Obama, except Obama, help us Jesus!” The woman was taken away and arrested.

New reports of deceased birds in Louisiana

After the event in Arkansas, reports of dead birds dropping in Louisiana are coming out. The 2 occurrences are eerily comparable, and took place within days and a few hundred miles apart. Why the birds dropped in mid-flight will have to be determined by testing. The testing is going to require a pay day loan to complete.

Many birds have been dropping by the mass out of Louisiana skies. The incident took place just days following the small town of Beebe, Ark., saw several thousand blackbirds drop out of the sky on New Years’ Eve. A stretch of highway in northern Louisiana in Pointe Coupee Parish near Labarre, Louisiana, had over 500 blackbirds, starlings, and sparrows’ rain from the air, as outlined by CNN. The plunge didn't kill all the birds. They did all die though. About 300 miles south of Beebe, Ark., or where the deceased birds were found first, was where the rain of birds happened. The birds are being sent to test laboratories to see if you will find any commonalities between the incidents.

Tension seems to be the reason for the Arkansas fatalities

The necropsy, or autopsy, of the deceased birds from AR indicates that the birds likely died from trauma suffered that caused the birds to drop from the sky. There was trauma to the breast tissue that was very physical. This is what the AR Game and Fish Commissioner explained. The birds were found to have internal bleeding. There were hemorrhages as well. An infectious disease did not appear likely.

Seeing all sorts of raining birds

A cold weather and storm front is moving through that part of the country, and weather events such as hail or lightning could easily kill large flocks of birds. Fireworks could also be a likely culprit, as loud noises are known to be harmful to birds in flight, but fireworks seem an unlikely explanation within the second event.
