Covelli Center : Tickets selling out quickly

Halfway between Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Covelli Center is a new $42 million events center that can hold up to 7,000 people. Today, tickets for a planned Elton John concert went on sale at 10 am and were almost entirely sold out by 10:03 am, except for some very expensive seats that people in line were not going to get instant cash loans to pay for.

As reported by WYTV, the Elton John tickets that went on sale this morning were in very high demand. The Covelli Center has tickets available through the Ticketmaster system as well as in their box office. Though it took 30 minutes for the box office tickets at the Covelli Center to entirely sell out, tickets online were gone in as little as 3 minutes. However, at about 10:15 tickets began appearing on resellers websites.

The Elton John concert at the Covelli Center is the highest-profile event to be scheduled. However, the new Covelli Center has been working hard to improve its bookings. With local hockey and some rock concerts, such as Breaking Benjamin, the center is getting local use. However, for debt relief of the $11.9 million of debt from building the Centere, general manager Eric Ryan tells WFMJ news that they are trying to book even bigger acts.
