Jon And Kate Gosselin In Parenting Class By Court Order

If you've been scouring TMZ, you know that Jon and Kate Gosselin are in parenting class. This can be a mandatory order from the Berks County, Philadelphia judge who’s presiding over the contentious Jon and Kate custody case. Both the patriarch and matriarch of the “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ family must enroll in and complete all class work before June 8 for the “Children within the Middle” course offered by the State of Pennsylvania. Both Jon and Kate must attend the seven-hour class live, although they are permitted to attend separately so they can keep away from any unpleasantness. This is rather different than no fax! ing payday loans, in that Jon and Kate may take more than a single day to finish their parenting class.

Television cameras will hopefully be turned off for Jon and Kate at parenting class, as the " Children within the Middle” program seems to be in the best interest of the youngsters, rather than the opportunistic show parents. According to the program’s site, it focuses on “how families can meet the needs of children growing up between two homes.” Two three-and-one-half hour segments will fill Jon and Kate’s minds with parenting knowledge that evidently don’t otherwise possess, including strategies as they apply to adults and to kids.

The adult segment of the Jon and Kate parenting class is divided to the following parts:

  • Reading your feelings
  • How not to play the victim
  • Domestic violence: recognition and prevention
  • Getting along with the other household
  • How will extended family and dating partners fit into your new two-household life?
  • Strategies for better co-parenting
  • How to grieve with your own way
  • Conflict resolution
  • How to discover third-party dispute resolution

Honoring the “Plus 8″

Jon and Kate are going to have to grind this out; it’s entirely more difficult than Kate dancing on TV or Jon finding younger women to date. However, they must plow through the second and final “Children in the Middle” installment, which focuses specifically on their children. Learn what makes your kids tick, if you do not already know:

  • Making two homes work for youngsters
  • Time to parent
  • Keeping track of child support payments
  • How you talk to your kids
  • Helping a young one grieve
  • What kids shouldn’t be part of

Play nice and cooperate, Jon and Kate

Follow a solid parenting plan for the sake of your kids. They deserve two parents who are mature, caring and present in their lives. Children shouldn’t be raised by hired help, so get your head out of Hollywood and into the family ‘hood. Jon and Kate, take parenting class seriously.
