Auto dealerships end up having drug trafficking inside

As outlined by Automotive news, employees or owners of auto dealerships have been letting drug trafficking happen within the company. It seems that “parts is parts” takes on an entirely different meaning when boxes of wiper blades headed for the parts department consists of bricks of marijuana.

Maryland Honda/Volkswagen dealership with drug trafficking

A Maryland Honda/Volkswagen dealership was caught with 120 pounds, or $ 1.6 million worth of marijuana, reports DealershipForum.com. One employee within the parts department was paid $ 100 per illegal delivery. He accepted the contraband, and then passed it on to a drug dealer. According to Automotive News, 10 pound blocks of marijuana were found in a box of wiper blades at a Detroit area Mopar Parts Distribution Center recently. Is good help that hard to find, when everyone needs a job?

Some of the auto dealership hijinks

Do these happen all on their own? Think about it for a minute. The previous Huling Brothers Auto Center of Seattle had quite a bit of illegal drug dealing happening in it, reports the Seattle Times. As outlined by Fox 29 WFLX of Hollywood, Fla., a “massive drug trafficking business” was happening in a Florida auto dealership that was run by Nova Motor Groups’ owner, Richard Carlson. SUVs were shipped to Sweden with cocaine in then. In Abington, Massachusetts, a couple partners working with Duane Glenn in a Midway Motors selling cocaine. They also had been selling marijuana.

John DeLorean

From 1975 to 1982, The DeLorean Motor company sold luxury sports cars, but then it went bankrupt. Within the 1980s, the DeLorean DMC-12 was one of the best cars to get, although John DeLorean couldn’t determine maintaining all of its operating capital. According to reports, DeLorean was filmed in what appeared to be a drug trafficking transaction, where he accepted money in exchange for the illicit substance. Because entrapment was supposedly used in this, DeLorean was cleared of all charges.
