Amy Mickelson upstages Masters win by hubby Phil

Amy Mickelson, wife of 2010 Masters champion Phil Mickelson, is fighting breast cancer. Phil Mickelson once left the game of golf for several months in order to care for her. But that isn’t tabloid enough for a lot of people. Since Tiger wasn't able to win the Masters even though he did finish in fourth, and he also failed to juggle multiple strippers at the 19th hole, the media decided they would just throw trash at Phil and Amy Mickelson. Allegedly, both men have affairs although that isn't true. The timing of the revelations is just what strikes a sour note after a great weekend of golf by Phil.

Phil had an affair with Ohio stripper while Amy Mickelson had an affair with Michael Jordan

Let’s not permit Phil and Amy Mickelson to enjoy The Masters victory too much, now. Whether true or not, the Woods train needs fuel to fire it. The allegation that there was an Amy Mickelson/Michael Jordan affair isn’t entirely surprising, as Jordan is notorious for having a wandering eye. Since he gambles, he might have been led to paydayloans too. It has also been written that Phil Mickelson fathered a child with a stripper in Ohio. Wei Under Par claims that Sports Illustrated was there to blow the lid off all this, but the Mickelsons threatened to sue so nothing materialized. Read into all of this what you will, but do not wager a payday cash loan on any one version of the truth.

Go with the storybook ending, instead of the ‘happy ending’

This is how the New York Daily News set the scene for Phil Michelson's win. It was quite emotional:

“It was a scene out of a Disney movie, really: Amy, a woman fighting breast cancer and all its medical meanness, weary, dabbing her cheeks with a napkin, waving to the crowd; Phil walking alongside her, teary-eyed himself; Jim Mackay, his faithful caddy, working hard to control his own emotions, before failing on this occasion. While we may never know and can never write the whole story with these athletes, this was a conclusion Sunday that seemed very correct, somehow, under the circumstances. It was as close to a morality play as we get in sports.”

Woods couldn't win the Masters because Phil was better

Phil Mickelson being 16 under for the tournament helped him win three strokes ahead of Lee Westwood. Tiger Woods finished at 11-under, tied for fourth place with K.J. Choi. As PGA pro Curtis Strange put it on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, Phil is “at ease” playing at Augusta National. For this Masters, he was hitting the greens and making all the shots. Thus, not only does Mickelson take home his third Masters green jacket (making him one of only eight players to win that many), but he takes home the $ 1.35 million winners share of the Masters payout. The sum in prize cash that was total was $ 7.5.
