Dancing With The Stars results: are they rigged?

Many Dancing With The Stars fans were shocked last night by the DWTS results. There were so many fans in disbelief last night that some are now thinking Dancing With The Stars voting is rigged. The stars that had the lowest judges scores, like Kate Gosselin, are nevertheless on the show. The first star booted was Shannen Doherty, who had a middle of the road judging score. Did voting really favor a star that seems to need money now, or did the producers have a black hand in this DWTS result?

DWTS Results

When it comes to what the judges had to say, the DWTS results should have had Buzz Aldrin and Kate Gosselin competing for their spot on Dancing With The Stars 2010. When audience votes were tallied up, though, Pamela Anderson and Shannen Doherty found themselves facing the votes. When DWTS results left Shannen Doherty and Pamela Anderson on the chopping block, fan votes saved Pamela. Many DWTS results watchers are now thinking about how many hundred thousand votes more than Shannen did Kate Gosselin get to stay on Dancing With The Stars?

How DWTS results are tabulated

The Dancing With The Stars 2010 voting is located on a half-and-half system. The judges’ votes count for half the score, and the call-in votes count for the other half. The point difference between Buzz Aldrin and Shannen Doherty meant that Buzz had to get twice the Dancing With The Stars voting fans as Shannen. ABC keeps the Dancing With The Stars tabulation formula hidden, but the internet loans some hypotheses that it may be rigged.

Are the Dancing With The Stars results rigged?

Producers do have quite a bit of say in how DWTS is produced, just like every other “reality” show. Some are starting to dwell on if the producers of Dancing With The Stars are now producing the scores, too. Before voting, Kate Gosselin was assumed to be the next DWTS elimination. If Kate Gosselin was not going to be eliminated by DWTS results, Buzz Aldrin had the biggest point deficit for making up. Instead, one of one of the most popular dancers – Pamela Anderson – ended up in the bottom two along with Shannen. Are the producers of DWTS monkeying with the results to create more drama? Or is the mom of eight pulling in enough votes to keep her in the spot legitimately? What do you think?
