Blizzard Store releases the Celestial Steed

wow1-240x180The Celestial Steed, a new World of Warcraft pet, has just been released. The Celestial Steed will act as both a land or air mount – depending on the mount skill of your WoW character. At top speed, the Blizzard Store Celestial Steed will give you 310 percent speed. At $ 25, the Celestial Steed download costs about as much as no faxing payday loans.

The Celestial Steed was released today in the Blizzard Store Pet Store. The Celestial Steed is not entirely new, though the probability of finding the Celestial Steed was very low. Instead of waiting for the .5% chance of getting the Celestial Steed, players can now purchase it. You have to have a battle.net account to activate the Celestial Steed. Each World of Warcraft license will require a separate Celestial Steed.

Charity donation for the Celestial Steed?

The Blizzard Store offers pets other than the Celestial Steed. When the Pandaren Monk was released in 2009, the Blizzard Store donated 50 percent of all sales from the pet store to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Pandaren Monk made over $ 1 million for the foundation. Blizzard Store hasn’t yet said if they’ll be making donations depending on the Celestial Steed.

Reactions from players on the Celestial Steed

Though the Celestial Steed is proving popular in the Blizzard Store, not all players are happy. On the World of Warcraft forums, numerous players are expressing aggravation with the Celestial Steed pet. Some are saying the Blizzard Store is trying to drain WoW players of cash, first with cards, then with pets and now with servers. A couple of have expressed aggravation that they have to get no faxing payday loans just to keep playing. Other players are very excited, saying that the Blizzard Store is reducing the aggravation of constantly looking for an unlikely piece of loot.
