Campbell's Soup goes halal to appease terrorist-funded crowd

To orthodox Muslims, halal (Arabic term for “permissible” or “recommended”) is a substantial practice. In conditions of diet, halal is to Muslims as kosher is to Jews. Based on The Stir, halal could be coming to Campbell’s Soup soon. Halal-approved tastes will bear the mark of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). ISNA-emblazoned Campbell’s Soup cans will hit Canadian shelves first.

Warhol ’spinning in his grave’ after Campbell’s soup halal

The Campbell’s soup halal-certified merchandise have a ton of controversy surrounding them. The Stir explains the United States, along with other countries, classify the fundamentalist organization Hamas as an enemy group which can make the ties ISNA admitted having to them controversial. The ISNA has an interesting donor. The Sunni Wahhabi sect funds the group. Wikipedia states the crowd, which was founded by the 18th century scholar Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab, advocates “purging Islam of impurities.” Modern day Wahhabi publications the NGO Freedom House study found say Muslims ought to “always oppose infidels in every way” and “hate them for their religion… for Allah’s sake.” The American legendary Campbell’s Soup can painting was done by Andy Warhol. This is why The Stir thinks he will be spinning in his grave now.

Facebook crowd boycotts Campbell’s Soup

Kosher foods are commonplace in American markets, and also the presence of such products usually doesn’t cause unrest. Movements like the Facebook group “Boycott Campbell Soup,” are being initiated with this one though. Seems like like groups like Boycott Campbell Soup only hear that terrorist activities are acceptable when “a Halal mark does not change what’s inside the can — it means only the ingredients used for making the soup are reviewed by the largest non-profit, religious, educational, and non-political Islamic organization in North America,” is said by Campbell. What Campbell Canada calls a “commitment to diversity and extraordinary, authentic nourishment for all,” others call an affront to freedom-loving peoples.
