Get geared up for Star Wars 3-dimensional

Fire up the light-sabers, simply because “Star Wars 3D” is going to be happening. Each one of the films is getting the 3-dimensional treatment. The very first is slated for a 2012 release. Not all six are coming out at once, though. The films can be launched within the sequence of the story. The first launch could be of “Episode 1,” the first prequel. After the prequels will come the original trilogy.

Nearly time to view ‘Star Wars’ in 3-dimensional

Right now, Hollywood is on a kick. This kick contains all the three dimensional illusion films being made. Some of the biggest hits in the past few years have been launched in two dimensional and three dimensional versions, for instance “Avatar,” “Clash of the Titans” and others. Now the technology is available, George Lucas and Industrial Light and Magic have decided to give “Star Wars” the 3-dimensional treatment. The job will not be rushed. The Telegraph reports Lucas film saying this. The series is legendary, and each and every feasible detail will be scrutinized so the new three dimensional presentations will only improve upon the series.

Very first in 2012

The first installment within the “Star Wars 3-D” run can be “Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.” The series is going to be launched in chronological order. That’s new to some. The release date is not yet determined for sure. The goal is to have it released in 2012. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that 3-d engineering is something George Lucas may still need to be confident of. After he saw “Avatar,” he decided to make the change. There isn’t any word on how long it will be between releases.

Got to get all theaters to take within the technology

Currently, not enough theaters have 3-D capabilities. Each year, about 500 are added to be 3-dimensional capable. More films are being released in 3-D meaning more theaters are trying to get it. It is not known whether “Indiana Jones” or the “Clone Wars” DVD series will get 3-d updates for theatrical launch.
