Hiccup girl Jennifer Mee charged with first degree murder

Jennifer Mee, the “Hiccup Girl” who was featured on national news shows, has been arrested for murder. Mee, only 19, was arrested with 2 accomplices in a homicide. They’re accused of robbing a man at gunpoint and killing him. After weeks of constant hiccups, Jennifer Mee became a media sensation various years back. She became an internet sensation and appeared on national television shows for instance the “Today Show”. Homicide sentence for Mee

Jennifer Mee was arrested in Florida on suspicion of first degree murder along with two others arrested for the crime, based on MSNBC. 22 year old Lamont Newton worked with 20 year old Laron Raiford and 19 year old Mee. They lured Shannon Griffin someplace supposedly. He was at gunpoint. This is how Raiford and Newton robbed him. They took all his stuff and then got in a fight with him. This led to him being shot in his upper torso many times. Being involved with the crime is something all three admit to. Jennifer Mee and her accomplices are being charged under the felony murder statute, in which an accomplice to a crime which ends in murder is held accountable for the murder also. All three may end up with the death penalty if they are convicted.

'Hiccup Girl’ is the name

Jennifer Mee came to national prominence as “The Hiccup Girl.”. One time, a girl ended up with hiccups for five weeks. This had been Jennifer Mee. The media caught on when she would hiccup at least 50 times a minute every day. She had been featured on the “Today Show” among others in 2007, coming to national prominence. She saw numerous specialists to cure the affliction, and she ultimately had been diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, based on WTSP Media in Tampa. She had been eventually cured with Tourette’s medication.

Still hasn’t been a trial

There is no bail for the three defendants being held for the crime. Being convicted could mean the death penalty for all three. This is what being charged under the felony murder statute means. At least a life sentence will be what they face without a parole possibility. This is if felony homicide is what they’re convicted of.
